More Christmas :)

We had SO much fun on Christmas morning! This was a very different Christmas but it was our first Christmas to be at home with our kids. Their faces were priceless that morning! Travis and I enjoyed watching/helping them open all of their gifts (and these were in addition to all of the gifts they were given the two weeks leading up to Christmas! Blessed much! :) Here are some pictures of that morning, along with some of the kids and Travis playing in the snow. We had a great Christmas!

WHITE CHRISTMAS!

Snow has been falling here in Shawnee for about 6 hours....and it is SO pretty outside! I didn't think that it actually was going to snow....just ice, like it always does here in Oklahoma. Every year I hope that it snows on Christmas day, or around about the day. I absolutely love the snow!! I am like a little kid :) Sometimes I wish I lived where it snowed all the time, but I think I would not appreciate it as much as I do on these rare days. We are having so much fun on this Christmas eve. Travis is home and off tomorrow. Yay!! Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!! Merry Christmas!

Christmas TOOTH!!

Audrey lost her first tooth today! It almost made me cry! She is getting so big and I can't believe we are to the point in her life where she is losing teeth!! Crazy :)

It's Christmas!

I love Christmas time. We put our tree up the day before Thanksgiving, here are some pics of my sweeties. They were so excited! I can't wait to read the story of Jesus' birth to them on Christmas eve, a tradition that started when I was a young child. We are blessed beyond measure this Christmas. God is an amazing God. We are so thankful for our friends and family this Christmas. Random thoughts, I know but Oh well. Merry Christmas everyone!!

I love thanksgiving. I love the fact that we have a day to take time to thank God for all of the blessings and amazing things in our lives. Today, I was talking to Audrey about what Thanksgiving means and at one point I told her that Thanksgiving is a day to thank God for everything we have, everything we can give, and being alive and well. She said "Mom, we should do that every day." Plain and simple. So true!!! Although, like I said, it is great that this day exists, to see our families, to remember good times and to eat alot, I need to remember that every day is a blessing and I have been given so much and much is required of me. My sweet family, my amazing friends, new and old, very hard times in my life, and great, good times in my life, that is what I am thankful for. Love and commitment from a wonderful husband, hugs and kisses from my children, an amazing mom and dad, mother-in-law, and father-in-law, blessings beyond what I could have hoped for, that is what I am thankful for. My health, the ability to exercise and be fit and healthy, the ability to give and give and give until I have nothing left, that is what I am thankful for. My Best Friend, my Saviour, my Redeemer.....He is who I am thankful for. I want to remember these things not only in this Thanksgiving time of year, but always, every day and consistently throughout my life. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!! LOVE TO YOU ALL!!!!

Camping!!

On Friday morning, we headed down to Blue River for three days of camping fun! It was such a great weekend with family and we all didn't want it to end! Here are a few pictures of my sweet family. Time with family is about as good as it gets. We caught some trout, catfish and played a little duck, duck goose :) SORRY ADAM!!!

The Simple Life

Hi. I want a simple life. I am tired of all of the huhlabaloo. I am going to use my computer less, talk on the phone less, play with my kids more and try and slow down. All of my life, I have had a very hard time stopping and just enjoying it. I always have to be doing something, for me or others, but I just want simplicity. I want to read a book. I want to serve others. I would like to not think that my house has to be spotless every waking minute of every day. I love my life, I just want to enjoy the minutes more every day. Life is short. God is good and I want to enjoy every minute that He has given me on this earth. That's it.
